Interesting Dave, I’ve never seen it done that way. I usually start on the back cuz I find it takes most the bones and such in one go. Will have to try it this way next time I get a chance to go fishing!

And no, I’ve never eaten the cheeks. Never heard of that before, and I’ve eaten a lot of fish lol

lol… Always happy to have a fan. :)

It was an old Indian guide outside of Flin Flon that had showed me how to rib walleye that way many years ago and I’ve been doing it that way ever since.

The cheeks are great with just a bit of lemon pepper and sauteed in butter.
